About ICOLIM 2011 – Safety First!

After turning off the lights of the 9th ICOLIM, held in the Polish town of Torun in early June 2008, the attention of European experts from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary and Poland dealing with development and implementation of live work technology gathered around Live Work Association (LWA), has turned to Zagreb, Croatia and ICOLIM 2011.

The tenth International Conference on Live Maintenance (ICOLIM), which is to be held from May 31st to June 2nd, 2011 in the Croatian capital Zagreb, is organized by  Hrvatska elektroprivreda under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship. This national electric power company, like other electric power companies, has an education and training centre used for systematic live work technology implementation training.

Croatia, i.e. HEP, is the youngest member of Professional Live Work Association (LWA), which has organized its conferences biannually since 1992, and every three years since 2008.

Papers to be presented at ICOLIM 2011 on the latest achievements in live maintenance development, implementation and monitoring are especially focused on the safety of employees, facilities and customer electricity supply.

The exhibition organized for this purpose will display the latest machinery, equipment and tools used for live maintenance, while the live work will be demonstrated in 400/220/110 kV Žerjavinec substation in the vicinity of Zagreb.
